Biomechanics Of The Golf Swing

Introduction to The Use of Muscular chains in golf Recruitment of muscular chains during the swing.

The muscular chains consist of muscles and aponeurosis acting in synergy to ensure co-ordination of movement . Throughout the entire swing motion, there are chains, some of which are in a relaxed state while others are contracting throughout the articular tract; the relaxed chains contract on other articular tracts during other stages of the movement.

The swing, is not a back and forth movement, but a continuous one, which starts with the first movement of the club and terminates after the follow through. So it is like a back and forth motion, but does not follow the same sequence.
