PGFA HISTORY

In 2014, PGFA™ Master Instructor and Founder Larry Castro pioneered a groundbreaking approach in the world of golf training by creating the PGFA Performance Centers. Here, he introduced the innovative Golf Muscle Activation Training, a cornerstone of the PGFA's unique training methodology.

Larry Castro's revolutionary technique, Proprioceptive Muscle Activation™ (PMA) or Sports Muscle Activation™ (SMA), has redefined golf training. At the heart of this approach is Golf Muscle Activation™ (GMA), a specialized program developed by Larry Castro. This method has transformed the teaching landscape and produced remarkable results, setting a new standard in golf instruction.

The impact of this approach extends beyond golf. It includes additional categories like TMA (Targeted Muscle Activation) and SMA, specifically designed to correct muscular imbalances and enhance overall athletic performance. This process has been a game-changer, significantly improving functional capabilities across diverse age groups. It's not just about better golf – it's about elevating sports performance in general and delivering immediate, tangible results.

This innovative journey by Larry Castro and the PGFA™ has enriched the golfing experience and contributed to the advancement of sports training methodologies worldwide.
